I’m a writer, curator, and educator who loves sharing stories about art and bringing creative projects to life. My writing and research focuses on 20th and 21st century art from the United States and Latin America, with particular interest in the history of mural movements, the archive, and photography.
I have held positions at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art; Museum of Contemporary Art, Santa Barbara; American Folk Art Museum, New York; and Slought Foundation, Philadelphia. From 2011-2012, I was a Fulbright Research Scholar in San Salvador, El Salvador.
I hold a MA in Modern & Contemporary Art History from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University, and a BA in Art History and Human Rights from Bard College.
I was raised in St. Louis, Missouri and am currently based in Santa Barbara, California.
I’m available for freelance writing and editing projects, public talks, as well as the occasional art advising.
